ABOUT SARAH FRIEDLAND

Sarah Friedland is a graduate of the Textile and Apparel Design program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She aims to create fashion that allows people to voice their true selves.  

In college, Sarah was awarded second place in the Sergenian's Rug Design Competition.  She also showed various designs in the Textile and Apparel Design program's juried fashion show, including her senior thesis collection. Her senior thesis collection, titled Sugar Free, is a reflection of the struggles many young adults face - the desire to live carefree yet the need to take on adult responsibilities. The collection initially appears youthful and lighthearted but the details reveal the anxiety associated with growing up.

Sarah has since worked with Trek Bicycle and Chicago-based designer Azeeza.
